As a Cisco Business Development Specialist, you will be at the forefront of driving business growth and strategic expansion related for all Cisco solutions. Your primary focus will be on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships with Cisco sales and executive teams, and fostering client relationships.  As an overlay position to sales, you’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute business development strategies that drive growth with our strategic growth partner.

What We Need & What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Serve as liaison between Partner(s) and Company to maximize current and future sales opportunities
  • Build relationships with Cisco field organizations and leadership, sales and channel
  • Utilize internal and external teams to drive Compucom value to help sales win new opportunities
  • Strategic planning, revenue growth and business development input for all opportunities to profitably retain, grow and service the customer​
  • Proactively nurture, influence and build our partnerships on both the sales and channel sides to drive larger impact for our organization and our customers
  • Act as SME on partner programs and technologies as they relate to incentive programs, technology and educate OEM sales/technical/management on Compucom value to drive partnership and opportunity
  • Facilitate targeted account planning to drive opportunities (e.g., digital transformations), connecting our sellers and partner sales teams to align Cisco solutions to specific business needs across horizontals and verticals
  • Bring stakeholders from different parts of the business (account teams, solution teams, business development and marketing) together to create demand, bring new ideas to market, establish quality partner connections, and orchestrate processes to set expectations and generate trust
  • Drive market share of specific Cisco solutions within Compucom, and drive market share of Compucom solutions within Cisco
  • Drive leads and opportunities with sales teams by providing recommendations on solutions and practice coverage
  • Work closely with Alliance Management to vocalize partner strategy efforts and engage in partner-to-Compucom collaborations to provide solutions to customers and to scale offerings
  • Build and support business plan for growth, opportunity tracking and deal registration
  • Accelerate digital transformation by driving or influencing customer conversations
  • Serve as an escalation point for issues that must be resolved to avoid negatively impacting the relationship and profitability
  • Educate internal teams as necessary on new product introductions, transitions, competitive advantages, programs and opportunities to identify sales within geo/vertical customer base​

Who You Are (Qualifications)

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in sales, marketing, business.
• 4+ years of core Cisco sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, business development experience or channel relationship management
• Well versed in integrated IT solutions. Strong understanding about hybrid, converged and integrated systems

• Demonstrated experience driving business development initiatives with Cisco or other advanced technology and security partners, providers in channel sales or partner organizations
• Inclusive and collaborative - driving teamwork and cross-team alignment
• Strong sales, partner management and solution development skills
• Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences
• Demonstrated sales impact related to OEM growth plans and execution for Cisco and/or other advanced technology and security partners
