  • Overview

     

    As the SharePoint Subject Matter Expert (SME) L3, you will function as an engineer in a managed services environment supporting a variety of customers ranging from medium size business to large enterprise. The SME’s primary responsibilities include monitoring, administering, and supporting Microsoft SharePoint.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Serve as a point of escalation for incidents and problems involving the configuration, administration, security, and compliance of SharePoint servers and sites.
    • Performs systems maintenance, upgrades, capacity planning, and administration.
    • Develops, documents, and standardizes preventative maintenance routines to ensure system availability and performance standards on production systems.
    • Investigates, troubleshoots, and resolves incidents and problems within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
    • Communicates effectively with various entities, including CRMs, account managers, remote site personnel, and client technical and non-technical resources.

    Qualifications

     

    • Microsoft SharePoint Server (2016, 2013, 2010)
    • Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012, 2016)
    • Core Server infrastructure (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, etc.)
    • TCP/IP Networking
    • Microsoft failover clustering
    • Server Optimization and Hardening
    • System backup and restore management
    • VMware + HyperV
    • Working knowledge of storage technology
    • Windows Debug, Crash dump analysis
    • Windows OS Patching, Driver and firmware updates
    • Ability to lift 50lbs, datacenter racking\stacking, cabling
    • Other duties as defined by management

     

    Required Certifications:

    • MCSA / MCSE

     

    Desired Certifications:

    • VCP
    • ITILv3

     

     

    Soft Skills:

    • Client Email Etiquette
    • Attention to detail
    • Effectively lead technical discussions
    • Develop and present required briefing materials to ensure the customer’s needs are met.
    • Experience in a rapid paced, time-sensitive, high‐quality environment
    • Must have excellent team and collaboration skills
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision
