  • Overview

    Using business process engineering techniques, develops technical solutions and management processes to achieve overall objectives by means of implementing systems or enterprise-wide solutions. Responsible for translating existing and anticipated customer requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for very large, complex IT solutions and integrating architecture. Develops and recommends solutions and strategies, based on the analysis of customer business goals, objectives, needs, and existing systems infrastructure. Acts as an advocate for the client, as the ultimate authority on the architecture designed to address client business problems and promotes consideration of CompuCom’s products and services to meet such requirements. Responsible for identifying opportunities, business strategies and development, contract delivery, and client satisfaction. Viewed by customers as a consultant and performance is typically measured by delivery of agreed solutions within budgeted hours. Provides direction for design activities. Often project-based, sometimes working at customer sites.


    The Advisor Level uses professional concepts to resolve complex and/or critical business and design issues. Ensures established practices, methodologies and objectives are effective and met. Is recognized as a trusted advisor to clients, and serves as primary liaison between the customer and team. Assesses exposure and takes steps to reduce vulnerability. Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Recognized as an expert in their functional area. Prepares budget reports, assures timeline compliance, and develops implementation/delivery plans. Mastery of all Centers of Expertise. May function as an external speaker and/or presenter for CompuCom and can "command a room" of client executives with credibility in solutions and impact to business. May function as a working team lead, supervising day to day activities of other Solution Architects without formal management role. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with technical or business emphasis and a minimum of 15 years experience or equivalent combination of experience and education. Also requires an in-depth knowledge of CompuCom products, services, business functions, policies, and procedures. Possesses excellent problem solving skills, organizational skills, and communication skills.
