    • Responsible for evaluating and managing new initiatives and business opportunities.
    • Oversees market analysis, monitors competitive activity, and identifies customer needs.
    • Provides leadership in planning, designing, and implementing business plans with information technology strategies.
    • Makes and develops contacts with existing and potential customers.
    • Participates in the preparation of sales plans and campaigns, business plans, and product development plans.
    • Maintains technical proficiency and consults with prospective customer regarding CompuCom.
    • Creates process change by integrating new and existing processes.
    • Recommends and facilitates business improvement programs.

    Qualifications

    • The Business Development Manager provides technical support to clients and CompuCom personnel on complex projects.
    • Capitalizes on training to resolve difficult client issues where standard practice has failed.
    • Acts as senior on-site technical advisor to client and CompuCom’s team members.
    • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors.
    • Exercises judgement within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
    • May provide guidance to lower level personnel or work directly with customers.
    • Requires 7-10 years of progressive, directly related sales experience, preferably in area of technology sales.
    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience.
    • Master’s degree or professional certification is desirable.
    • Good problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills are also required.
