    What You’ll Do

    Tech-Zone needs you. We are looking for a seasoned front-line district sales manager to help grow and manage our team. You will be responsible for leading a team of 8-10 field-based sales reps throughout the district. You will need to hire, train, motivate and help the reps win new business. The sales team will be a group of talented, customer focused hunters. The sales cycle is 3-6 months and we expect 3-4 closed deals per month per rep selling our managed IT services in the SMB market.

     

    The Tech-Zone Sales Manager will also develop and oversee a portfolio of new & existing customers from a variety of channels with the goal of growing new business, deepening the relationship and cross-selling additional services. The Tech-Zone Sales Manager will implement disciplined sales and relationship building strategies to achieve targets for growth and profitability. The Tech-Zone Sales Manager will have the ability to work in a high growth environment with new and evolving services and be willing to take initiative in proactively identifying and taking
    advantage of opportunities with minimal direction. 

    Responsibilities

    Who You Are

    • Provide on-the-ground support for sales associates as they generate leads and close new deals
    • Assess the strengths and weaknesses of the sales team and manage the sales process accordingly
    • Support indirect channel initiatives to expand our reach and capture new business
    • Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them
    • Develop and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to capture key demographics
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts to senior management
    • Able to establish operational objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to subordinates
    • Involved in developing, modifying and executing company policies that affects immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect
    • Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting method, techniques and evaluations
    • Requires the leadership ability to change thinking, or gain acceptance in sensitive situations

    Qualifications

    • Experience of 5+ years
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    This is a hands-on role where the successful manager will know their reps and territory well.  We consider the District Sales Manager to be the most important role in the sales organization.  We will be picky and are looking for someone with a successful, verifiable track record of sales leadership. Our priorities in order are: Customer, Company, Team, Self. The full sales organization for this group is about 30 reps in 5 key states. We will continue to expand for coast to coast coverage so there are excellent opportunities for advancement in our team as well as the entire organization.
