Overview

CompuCom Systems Inc. is looking for a seasoned technical Project Manager to join our PMO team in Charlotte NC!

 

 The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and completion of enterprise level projects using a combination of disciplines (based on Agile Software development framework and PMI project framework). Manages a variety of large-scale, enterprise wide initiatives simultaneously while serving as the single point of contact for those initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects following established PMO and quality standards/guidelines and provides a single point of contact for those projects.
  • Review and ensures that all assigned projects are delivered within the defined scope, quality, time and cost requirements.
  • Makes recommendations to Program Managers on Program related change requests.
  • Interviews client users and develops business requirements for the application that is to be built.
  • Works with customer to determine desired outcomes, status, and approaches.
  • Collaborates with programmers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze usability and performance needs.
  • Communicates the technical specifications of the application to the user, converting the technical specifications into common business language, understandable by the business user.
  • Prepares Project Status Reports and provides regular status updates to Program Managers, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Facilitates quality systems, continuous process improvement, and project-related change management in accordance with the needs of the organization.
  • Works with the Agile Scrum Master to ensure that development tasks are completed on time according to the Agile framework
  • Assists as appropriate in the development of all Program/Project requirements (functional and non-functional) for customers and ensures the implementation of strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed business requirements and customer expectations.
  • Coordinates resource feedback discussions with and provides resource feedback to Program Leads and Program Managers.
  • Manages Project-level assumptions, risks and issues to ensure clarity around the challenge, the impact, and the action plan, providing direction/guidance as needed.
  • Manages Project Plan to ensure that deliverables are on track by providing guidance to team members around assignments, tasks, priorities, and timeframes.

Qualifications

  • The Project Manager will possess excellent written and oral communication skills in order to lead the project team in project requirements definition.
  • This individual will demonstrate leadership .
  • Managing projects will entail working effectively in a distributed team environment while interacting with customers, employees, peers, management, as well as other interfacing groups.
  • Understanding of the PMI Framework and Agile development framework
  • Perform project retrospectives and/or Root Cause Analysis.
  • 5+ years technical experience, Project Management Experience, Team Management Experience.
